Mountaineering in the Cascades

So I have just finished up a training trip with NOLS mountaineering in the North Cascades of Washington State. We went out on a 9 day trip on the Elderado and Inspriation glaciers. We had some amazing weather but as usual were tent bound for 3 days. Here are some photos of what we got up to...

Taking a break roped up

My first lead on rope, me on the summit belaying in my rope team.

Kitchens

Making the most of being in a cloud...crevasse rescue

Yours truly

Checking our line up the right hand ridge on Eldorado

Me summiting Mt Eldardo

Mt Eldorado...If you look close enough you can see us going for the summit

At the summit of Eldorado

Mount Primus....dominated that one too

So there you go, just a wee snippet of the 500 odd photos that were taken...Going back into the field in a week for about 30 days so until then...

And of course we celebrate our return in style!
